Who is Coffee Fiix

My name is Jamal Arberry, and I created Coffee Fiix Newsletter to focus on stories that matter to educators. I have been a teacher for 11 years and counting. I received my B.A. in Literature from ASU, and then I earned my M.A. in Education not too soon after. I am currently a graduate student with NAU, in which I am working toward obtaining my Master in Educational Leadership with a K-12 Principal Certificate.

I believe it is essential for educators to stay informed about what is going on in the K-12 world, and I understand that can be a challenge in the busy life of an educator. That is why I created this newsletter that goes out once a week, curated with 3 stories from the past week. Each story is short, getting straight to the point of the news. Wrapping up each newsletter are four additional stories that are linked out to read at your discretion.

I hope that you make Coffee Fiix a part of your Sunday mornings as you enjoy your favorite morning brew. Oh, why the name Coffee Fiix? Well, simply put, because I like coffee as it is my morning fix, as I am sure it is with many teachers! Also, the underlying message here is that with teachers keeping informed with relevant educational news, together, we can help fix the issues that are plaguing education. We cannot fix what we don't know, so this newsletter aims to help keep educators informed because with knowledge comes the ability to make the necessary changes in the small sliver of the world, we each occupy. Stay informed. Be the change.
